My name is Fatoumatta Coker,I was born in The Gambia west Africa,by then the population is less then 2 million and still less than 2 lol,wow we a a dote on the map but visible to the world lol,am from a family of 10 and 1 out of 3 girls, from the age of 11/12 I travelled to Ghana to better my education as Ghana is known to have some of the best boarding school in west Africa, this was meant to the best thing that happened to me but as I was too young so I never saw it that way......and this is where my story begins as a hustler, survivor, loneliness, sickness always to earn the name single 1 lol because I was so slim I fit into a size 6/8 dress but to be honest this is when I started to be responsible, independent and appreciate life and whatever it comes with, during this time and growing so fast i can tell you I have dine with both the rich and poor which made me fit in both ends...I know how be rich and to poor .....I would eat gari and sardines for a week in Ghana then go back home during midterms to eat proper food and the left over goes to the bin....my heart would beat I can’t believe here I am eating good food when others can’t even afford to see good food I said what do I do...? How do change people’s lives? I can’t help everyone but I can ask people help to help others....that’s when I earn my name the “Fatibombom the small Samaritan” because I would take left overs from home to give it to some of the students at school and the best part is I would eat with them to show them I am in it together with them even though the food was so mixed up lol at that moment my heart would go back home to The Gambia where my father the late Alhajie Chamsu Rahman Coker may his kind soul continue to rest in peace, he is well known for 2 things which I inherited both lol I wish~Which is he is a no none sense man and a kind man that will feed, clothe, educate and help over thousands of people in a year, our house was the shelter, the starting point of life to some or many people or the last place to find food or call home knowing that you are going to eat and sleep,a good day for my father is to see his children sit on the same bowl eating with the needy, when people come to our house you will never know who his kids are or who are the beggers we are only identified by our clean clothes but to honest I enjoyed it as it made me who I am today.
